Bride Hall were selected in a limited competition against 7 developers by Shepway District Council to develop 4 acres of Folkestone Town Centre with 200,000 sq.ft. of retail, restaurant and residential accommodation.
The scheme attracted ASDA as an anchor tenant who purchased a long leasehold interest of 80,000 sq.ft. situated entirely at 1stfloor level. A further 120,000 sq.ft. of commercial retail space created Folkestone’s first shopping centre.
85% of the scheme was pre-let to tenants including ASDA, BHS, Next, HMV, New Look and George.
The scheme launched in November 2007.
